Introducing the new all-season tire from Pirelli

Pirelli has introduced a new tire, the P Zero MS, specifically designed for premium and luxury vehicle manufacturers who require tires that can be safely used year-round in regions with warm winters.

The new tire joins Pirelli's other premium all-season tires, such as the Pirelli Scorpion MS, which was introduced last year and is designed for the latest generation of crossovers and SUVs.

The new tires have already been homologated by several car manufacturers and, for example, are included in the equipment of the new Audi A6 and A6 e-tron. According to Pirelli, the list of their advantages includes high resistance to lateral drift on both dry and wet surfaces, good resistance to aquaplaning, and increased mileage, which is especially important for consumers in North America - a key market for the new product.

The tread pattern of the P Zero MS was created to reduce noise in the car cabin and shorten braking distances on dry and wet asphalt, while additional lamellas are designed to increase traction on snow. In addition, the optimized profile and rubber compound have reduced rolling resistance, which is now very important for car manufacturers. For each car model, the tires will be fine-tuned separately.

The reduced void volume has increased the stiffness of the tread, improved acoustic comfort, and reduced braking distance on dry and wet surfaces
The variable tread pitch and varying groove size reduce noise levels
The lamella placement scheme is designed for uniform deformation of the tread under load and increased traction on snow

Such technologies as Elect (tires adapted to the characteristics of electric vehicles), Seal Inside (puncture automatic sealing), Run-Flat (reinforced sidewalls allow driving with zero pressure), and PNCS (a sponge inside the tire reduces noise) will be used in production. At this stage, the lineup includes nine sizes from 235/45 R18 to 275/30 R20.
