A new SUV tire from Nankang is presented

Taiwanese Nankang is introducing new summer tires Nankang Rollnex Nex-1 for crossovers and SUVs, which were first presented at the The Tire Cologne (TTC) exhibition in June 2024.

The new tires from Nankang feature a tread pattern with an optimized pitch, which reduced the noise level, while the increased volume of grooves accelerated water evacuation from the contact area with the road, resulting in a 3% improvement in wet performance.

The design of the shoulder areas and the scheme of the transverse channels have also been refined to enhance acoustic comfort, and Nankang emphasizes that the tires are made using the latest generation of synthetic rubber produced in Japan, which has a high molecular weight, resulting in increased wear resistance and improved dispersion of silica, which reduces rolling resistance and provides an optimal balance between effective braking and fuel efficiency.

The Nankang Rollnex Nex-1 tires are available in 13 sizes from 175/65 R17 to 315/35ZR22. According to the EU labeling system, the new product received a "B/C" rating for fuel efficiency, "A" for wet grip, and "B" for external noise level.
