Introduced new General tire for crossovers
General Tire (part of Continental) has introduced the new General Grabber Cross A/S tire, specifically designed for crossovers and SUVs and intended for year-round use in regions with mild climates.

A new rubber compound is used in the production, optimized to ensure reliable tire performance on roads covered with water, snow, or slush, and at the same time, the new tire is also capable of providing an acceptable level of traction on dirt, gravel, and other off-road conditions. Meanwhile, when used on smooth asphalt, the tires, according to the manufacturer, are optimal for high speeds and improve comfort due to a smooth ride and low noise, and another feature of Grabber Cross A/S is an "exceptionally high resource".

The new tires are made using a number of proprietary General technologies, such as Duragen, which increases the strength and reliability of the tire due to a modified design and rubber compound, and Comfort Balance, which improves comfort, including acoustic, thanks to optimized block geometry and even stiffness distribution of the tread.

The sidewalls feature markings indicating that the tires have been optimized for electric and hybrid vehicles and can function optimally on vehicles with any type of powertrain, while the 3PMSF symbol confirms that the new Grabbers are capable of providing the necessary traction on snow.
Grabber Cross A/S will be available in 44 sizes from 215/65 R16 to 285/45 R22, and all sizes will be equipped with rim protection. According to the European classification system, the tires have received ratings of "B-D" for fuel efficiency, "C/D" for wet grip, and "B" for noise.
