Petlas releases new high-performance summer tires

Turkish company Petlas has added new summer passenger tires Petlas Prime Comfort of the High Performance class to its range, which will traditionally be released under the company's second main brand - Starmaxx, named Controlmax.

The novelty features an asymmetrical tread pattern, and wide longitudinal grooves in the inner zone accelerate water dispersion, while the reduced width of the groove in the outer section improved stability when cornering on dry roads. In addition, densely arranged transverse grooves in the shoulder areas reduce the braking distance on wet surfaces, the profile has been optimized to increase even wear and reduce rolling resistance, and the new rubber compound has been developed to enhance grip in various weather conditions, as well as to improve durability and fuel efficiency.

Wide grooves in the inner zone ensure rapid water drainage from the contact area with the road, and the reduced groove width in the outer zone improves stability in corners

The new tires will be available in 22 sizes from 175/65 R15 to 215/60 R17, and in the EU labeling system, they received ratings of "B-D" for energy efficiency and "A/B" for wet grip and external noise level.
