Otani has released a new Run-Flat tire

Thai company Otani has added a new summer tire, the Otani KC1000 RFT, to its lineup for passenger cars and crossovers, featuring a construction that allows for continued driving in the event of a puncture.

As noted by Otani, the company continues to expand its product line, and last year released a special tire for electric vehicles (KN1000), with plans to introduce a new off-road tire in the Rugged-Terrain category next year.

The Otani KC1000 tires belong to the High-Performance class and feature an asymmetric tread pattern with a rigid outer shoulder area and wide longitudinal grooves, designed to improve handling on dry and wet surfaces, while special protrusions in the grooves and a variable tread pitch reduce noise levels. Additionally, the sidewall construction and rubber compound have been optimized to improve controllability and reduce rolling resistance.

Initially, the Otani KC1000 RFT will be available in 14 sizes with diameters from 18 to 20 inches, and in 2026, 31 additional sizes will be introduced. After that, the tires will be produced in sizes with a rim diameter from 18 to 22 inches.
