Nokian expands its range of tires for forestry machinery
Nokian Tyres has expanded its range of products for the forestry industry and started producing the Nokian Forest King F2 tire in a new size, designed for large and powerful forwarders and harvesters currently used in the industry.
The Forest King F2 tire, specifically developed for forestry equipment, features reinforced shoulder areas and is adapted for use with tracks and chains, while its high-strength diagonal construction and steel reinforcement are designed to provide puncture protection.

"In the forestry industry, efficiency is key, and the growing demand for increasingly productive machinery is driving the development of forwarders that can transport large volumes of wood per work cycle," noted Teemu Vainionpää, Product Manager for Nokian Heavy Tyres (which manufactures tires for heavy-duty trucks and special equipment). "The release of the new 30.5-inch diameter size is a direct response to this trend, and our high-load capacity tires with improved operating characteristics are perfectly suited for the latest generation of forwarders."
The load-carrying capacity of the Forest King F2 in the new size is increased due to the larger air volume inside the tire, and the contact area between the tire and the rim has also been increased, preventing the tire from slipping. In addition to the tire itself, Nokian also offers a rim and tube ( sizes: 26.00x30.5 and 780/55-30.5).
The new size tires will be premiered at the FinnMetko exhibition in Jämsä (Finland), which will take place from August 29 to 31.
