The tire fitting service has significantly increased in price across the country over the past year, and, for example, in Moscow, it now costs an average of 820 rubles per wheel, which is 22.4% more than a year ago, and in St. Petersburg, prices have risen by 13.9% to 631 rubles, according to Izvestia, citing Rosstat data.
The most significant increase in tire fitting prices was recorded in the Ural Federal District — by 29.3%, to 633 rubles, and here the price growth was noticeably higher than the average for Russia. Thus, in the Siberian Federal District, the service became more expensive by 18.2%, to 512 rubles, in the Central Federal District — by 17.5%, to 700 rubles, and in the Far Eastern and North-Caucasian Federal Districts — by 17%, to 474 and 303 rubles, respectively. It is in the North-Caucasian Federal District that, according to Rosstat, tire fitting is currently the cheapest in the country.
In the Far Eastern Federal District, the installation of winter tires will cost an average of 470 rubles per wheel, and the price increase was 15.4%, while in the Southern Federal District, the service became more expensive by 15%, to 426 rubles, and in the Northwestern Federal District — by 13%, to 613 rubles.
In the Fit Service network of car services, they note that prices will rise further, and by the end of the year, an additional increase in tire fitting prices by 15% on average across the country can be expected. According to the network's director, Tatyana Ovchinnikova, the statistics "probably reflect the reaction of the automotive service market to the growing financial burden on businesses." "Since 2024, entrepreneurs have felt an increase in costs for the wage fund and other expenses. For independent car services with an average market profitability of 15-25%, such expenses are a serious problem," she said.
Alexey Ivanov from Alliance Tracs noted that the "main reasons [for the price increase] are inflation and the overall financial burden on the automotive business," and factors such as "the growth of utility bills, wage pressure, and the high cost of personnel due to a shortage of experienced personnel" also have an impact.
