Linglong has launched a new line of tires
Chinese Linglong has released a new line of tires under the Crosswind brand, which includes five models. The company already has a line of tires for SUVs with a similar name, but this is a new brand that has its own logo and has already been released in the North American market. All tires in the new line are produced at Linglong's European plant in the Serbian city of Zrenjanin.
The lineup includes the following tires:
Crosswind Sport Peak. A light truck tire in the Ultra-High Performance class, designed to provide optimal handling, stability, and comfort at high speeds. The asymmetric tread pattern was created, among other things, to improve steering sensitivity and reduce braking distance on dry and wet roads, and the size range includes 60 positions from 185/55 R16 to 285/35 R22 with speed indices up to Y (permitted speeds - up to 300 km/h).
Crosswind Comfort Peak. High Performance tires for small and medium-sized cars, optimized to improve smoothness and reduce noise, as well as increase service life. In addition, the design has been improved to increase braking efficiency on both dry and wet surfaces. 96 sizes are offered, from 145/70 R13 to 235/55 R17.
Crosswind Sport Peak C/S. A UHP-class model for crossovers and SUVs, featuring a reinforced design and increased load-carrying capacity. The tread pattern with G-shaped grooves in the central ribs is designed to improve safety, including through shorter braking distances, and Linglong also notes that the tires are durable and have a comfortable ride. 60 sizes are available, from 205/70 R15 to 275/45 R21.
Crosswind Grip Peak 4S. All-season tires suitable for use on both asphalt and snow (in regions with a mild climate), which is confirmed by the 3PMSF marking with a mountain and snowflake symbol on the sidewalls. The manufacturer claims that the tires can quickly stop the car in any weather, and special attention was also paid to increasing the service life. The tires are designed for use on a wide range of vehicles, from compact cars to crossovers, and have been released in 59 sizes, from 155/80 R13 to 245/45 R19.
Crosswind Grip Peak Winter. A non-studded European-type winter tire with a directional tread pattern that accelerates water and slush removal from the contact patch. The design includes longitudinal grooves with zigzag-shaped walls that increase longitudinal traction on snow, and zigzag-shaped lamellas that increase safety on slippery surfaces, while large shoulder blocks improve stability when cornering. 100 sizes are offered, from 165/70 R14 to 295/35 R21, and the tires are designed for installation on both passenger cars and crossovers and SUVs, including large ones.
