Tire product testing was carried out by a German magazine

Journalists of the publication claim that vehicle owners should not blindly trust the labels of European tire manufacturers. They came to this conclusion after studying the results of tire product tests.
After conducting tests of 9 popular tire models, the testing team noted that some popular summer tires showed much worse results than those claimed on the tire labels.

For example, tires from Kumho Tire, marked with the label 'A', as tires with excellent traction on wet road surfaces, completely failed the test for this indicator. Meanwhile, Bridgestone tires received a rating of only "conditionally recommended". The best were named Continental SportContact 5.

It is worth noting that the publication did not simply randomly select 9 arbitrary tires, on the contrary, the specialists of "Auto motor und sport" took for testing only those tires that were declared by manufacturers as the best for driving in the rain, having good traction with wet road surfaces. All tires were accordingly labeled, in accordance with EU standards.

A Mercedes C-Class was used as a test car. The ability to brake, the stability of the car and the external noise produced were checked. The best indicators were shown by ContiSportContact 5, in second place - Dunlop Sport BluResponse, in third - Hankook Ventus V12 evo², in fourth - Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance. All these tires received a "recommended" rating.
