Hercules enters the Rugged-Terrain segment

Hercules Tires in conjunction with the wheel brand TIS Offroad has introduced the new TIS RT1 by Hercules tire, which belongs to the Rugged-Terrain category, combining aggressive design and good off-road capability with improved comfort on asphalt, and occupies a position between Mud- and All-Terrain tires.

The novelty features a tread pattern with relief ground hooks and wide open grooves in the shoulder areas, which quickly divert dirt, improving controllability during off-roading, while the increased contact patch has improved braking efficiency and stability. In addition, the arrangement of the tread blocks is optimized to enhance traction at both low and high speeds, and the lamellas help the tires work on snow, and the pattern has also been refined to reduce vibrations and noise.

TIS RT1 also features a reinforced sidewall design, making the tires more durable, and the sidewalls have a different design, so you can decide which one will be visible during operation and better suits the appearance of the vehicle. Moreover, the tread pattern was designed to reduce uneven wear, and the warranty mileage is 88,000 km.

According to Steven Liu, Vice President of Product Development at American Tire Distributors (owner of Hercules), the new tire will allow satisfying the requirements of a larger number of drivers, which will help dealers improve their profitability. "To demonstrate the capabilities of the novelty, we invited Hercules Tires partners to the harsh off-road trails in Moab, Utah, so they could exclusively get acquainted with them," he added. "The feedback was exceptionally positive, confirming both the impressive characteristics of the tires and their competitive cost."

Earlier, Hercules and TIS had already introduced the TIS TT1 mud tire and the TIS UT1 model for buggies, and TIS Offroad President and Founder Miles Kovach noted that the company is completely satisfied with the results of the third joint project. "The partnership with Hercules Tires has allowed us to create tires with an aggressive design and excellent qualities that perfectly complement our line of wheels," he said.

The TIS RT1 tires will be available in 41 sizes with a rim diameter from 16 to 22 inches for a wide range of off-road vehicles and pickups, such as the Ford F-150, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Silverado, and others.
