Continental stops TBR production in India

Continental announced that its Indian plants will focus on the passenger and light truck tire segment and will discontinue the production of truck and bus radial tires (TBR). As a result, Continental’s plant in Modipuram, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India, will cease TBR production in June 2025.

The tire manufacturer stated that the TBR sector is highly competitive and price-sensitive, and that "maintaining the long-term value of Continental's premium offerings had become a significant challenge".
