Continental recalls 120 winter tires

Continental announced a recall of 120 winter tires Continental VikingContact 7 in size 155/70 R19, which were manufactured during the 44th week of 2024 at the plant in Korbach (Germany) and were sold on the secondary market or are still stored in dealers' warehouses in Sweden and Finland, where 116 and four tires were delivered, respectively.

The company notes that only one tire from the recalled batch is defective, and the reason for the recall is that it may suddenly lose pressure. The problem was discovered during quality control, and the recall was initiated "in order to eliminate any potential danger to drivers and other road users". All recalled tires will be replaced free of charge.

Continental has notified the relevant authorities in Sweden and Finland about the recall, and the company emphasizes that it is in close contact with customers and dealers to carry out this procedure.
