Continental equips the Audi Q3 with tyres

Audi has approved the summer tyres Continental EcoContact 6 Q for original equipment on its crossover, while the all-season ProContact TX10 and winter WinterContact TS 870 P have also received manufacturer recommendations, the tyre company reported.

The key feature of the Continental EcoContact 6 Q is its reduced rolling resistance. To enhance energy efficiency, a special tread pattern and rubber compound have been developed. The manufacturer emphasizes that fuel economy goes hand in hand with reduced noise levels and effective braking on both dry and wet roads. Homologation has been granted for the following sizes: 235/55 R18, 255/45 R19, and 255/40 R20.

The all-season Continental ProContact TX10 have been approved for use in the USA and Canada. Their tread design, featuring additional sipes, is engineered to ensure grip even on light snow. Furthermore, special attention has been paid to improving acoustic comfort. These tyres have been approved in the same sizes as the summer model.

In turn, the Continental WinterContact TS 870 P belong to the category of European-type winter tyres, meaning they are designed for regions with moderate winter climates. The tread design, with numerous sipes, is intended to enhance traction on snow and ice, while the rubber compound remains flexible at low temperatures, allowing the tyres to perform effectively in winter conditions. Homologation has been granted for sizes 215/65 R17 and 255/45 R19.
