Ceat releases new all-season tires

Indian company Ceat is actively trying to strengthen its position in the European market, and since the popularity of all-season tires has been steadily growing in the region in recent years, it is critically necessary to be present in this segment as well, and not so long ago the manufacturer released a new tire suitable for use throughout the year, provided that the climate is mild.

The novelty called Ceat 4Season Drive X5 replaces the 4Season Drive+ tire and has already managed to participate in the qualifying round of the big test by Auto Bild. The qualification involved 30 all-season tires, 15 of which made it to the main part of the tests thanks to effective braking on dry and wet surfaces. Ceat was able to do this, and in terms of braking properties on asphalt, they were able to surpass the new Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport.

Ceat 4Season Drive X5 features a directional V-shaped tread pattern that accelerates water removal and reduces the risk of aquaplaning, while the large number of lamellas increases traction in winter conditions, and the optimized stiffness of the blocks improves handling on various types of surfaces. According to the manufacturer, the design of the outer zones is designed to increase stability on dry and wet asphalt, while the grooves in the central section increase traction on snow.

"Thanks to the use of new rubber compound production technology, our development team was able to create tires with balanced characteristics in any weather conditions, as well as optimized rolling resistance and, consequently, improved fuel efficiency."

The new tires are designed for compact and medium-sized cars and will be available in sizes with a diameter from 15 to 18 inches, including the popular 205/55 R16 size.
