Bridgestone releases new SUV tire

The Bridgestone Corporation has announced the release of new summer tires, the Bridgestone Alenza LX200, for SUVs on the Japanese market, focusing on improved comfort while also surpassing the previous model, the Alenza LX100, released in 2021, in key areas such as safety on wet roads and fuel efficiency.

Bridgestone notes that the effective absorption of vibrations on surfaces with small irregularities was already a strong point of the previous model, but with the creation of the Alenza LX200, this parameter has been further improved, as has the ability of the tires to suppress stronger impacts (LX-tech Comfort technology). Additionally, the reduction in vibrations has allowed for a 16% decrease in noise levels on uneven surfaces compared to the LX100.

The LX Aqua Tech technology has also been utilized, which, due to special additives in the rubber compound, has increased traction on wet surfaces, resulting in a 15% increase in braking efficiency in the rain, and the tires have received the highest "a" rating in the Japanese labeling system in all sizes.

The environmental friendliness of the tires has been improved, including by reducing their weight and optimizing the contact patch shape, and compared to the LX100, rolling resistance has been reduced by 18%. Additionally, eco-friendly materials - recycled and from renewable sources - have been used, which ensures resource conservation and reduces environmental impact.

In addition to everything else, the sidewalls have been made using the Luxblack technology, which has made the black color more saturated and the brand logos more noticeable.

The Bridgestone Alenza LX200 will be released on the Japanese market in February 2026 and will be produced in 23 sizes, from 175/80 R16 to 235/50 R21. The manufacturer's recommended retail price (excluding taxes) ranges from 22 to 83.4 thousand yen (from 11 to 43 thousand rubles).
