Bridgestone to Supply Tires for Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
The Bridgestone Corporation has announced that it will supply tires for the factory-equipped updated version of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid crossover, which, according to the manufacturer, has a significantly increased electric range and improved comfort level.
Bridgestone and Mitsubishi have been collaborating for many years, and the Outlander PHEV will be equipped with Bridgestone Alenza 001 tires, which utilize the Enliten technology platform, enabling the improvement of various tire characteristics and adaptation to the requirements of automakers.

The NanoPro-Tech technology has also been used, allowing for control over the properties of rubber compounds, and, according to the company, thanks to silica and special materials in the design, rolling resistance, which affects energy consumption efficiency, has been reduced, and the service life of the tires has been increased. In addition, 3D lamellas in the tread are designed to improve handling on dry and wet roads.
Bridgestone Alenza 001 tires will be supplied for the Outlander PHEV in the size 255/45 R20, and for the crossover, homologated highway-all-terrain tires Toyo Open Country H/T of size 235/60 R18 are also available.
