ATD releases new mud tires

American Tire Distributors (ATD) has released a new off-road all-season tire, the Ironman All Country MT-X, which is built on the platform of the previous generation Ironman All Country M/T model, introduced in 2012.

"We are pleased to introduce the new All Country MT-X model, designed for extreme off-roading, featuring balanced performance and an even more aggressive design than its well-known market predecessor," said Steven Liu, Vice President of Product Development at Ironman Tires, adding that the novelty "combines aesthetic appeal, smooth riding, excellent handling and traction, but at an affordable price".

The new tires have a tread pattern designed to enhance traction in various off-road conditions, including mud, slippery rocks and snow, but at the same time optimized to reduce noise when used on paved roads. The central zone features hook-shaped blocks that increase traction during off-roading and, according to the company, make the tires more visually appealing.

The Ironman All Country MT-X will hit the American market in the first quarter of 2025 and will be available in 22 sizes with a rim diameter of 15 to 22 inches. Options with black and white sidewall letters will be offered.
