Yokohama Geolandar G91F
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Yokohama Geolandar G91F
The summer tire Yokohama Geolandar G91F was developed specifically for crossovers. It represents a classic model of the High Terrain category, adapted for use mainly on paved roads. It is distinguished by improved traction properties on wet surfaces, comfort in handling and maneuverability, quiet and smooth running, fuel efficiency.
Improved traction on wet surfaces
In the development of this model, much attention was paid to ensuring maximum traction on wet surfaces. One of the solutions was a significant increase in the number of traction edges. They are formed by blocks, as well as numerous lamellas. Most of them are located transversely, which allows the tire to demonstrate the ability to slow down intensively on wet surfaces. In addition, the tread has wide longitudinal grooves, drainage elements along the edges are wavy, and in the central part they have a profile that further increases the intensity of water drainage. All these measures made it possible to significantly increase the tire's resistance to aquaplaning.
Optimized compound
The tire uses BlueEarth technology, a set of technical solutions aimed at increasing mileage and fuel efficiency. One of its components is the rubber mixture used in the production of this model. In addition to its high "silica" content, its composition is distinguished by the presence of oil from orange peel. This component increases the strength of the compound at the molecular level, making it more resistant to tearing and stretching, as a result of which the tire tread is not only able to remain elastic at low temperatures but also demonstrates good resistance to abrasive wear, cracking, and cracking, even under prolonged exposure to heat.
Key features of Yokohama Geolandar G91F
- improved traction on wet surfaces due to the large number of lamellas and block edges, optimized design of drainage grooves;
- a rubber mixture with a high "silica" content and orange peel oil in the composition enhances traction properties on wet surfaces, improves ride smoothness, and increases tire mileage;
- an improved carcass structure reduces its weight while maintaining high stiffness, improving handling at high speeds, as well as reducing wear and rolling resistance.

The Subaru Forester was originally equipped with this Yokohama tire, which performed well for three years. I sold the vehicle with the same tire and it has held up the road without developing any cracks throughout the usage period.

Stock tires for Forester SJ, fairly durable and fairly quiet. Suitable for summer-autumn period. Normal tire for its price.

Good handling and quietness, but! One minus at 40k mileage, wear is almost 23 tread depth. This is the fourth warm season for these tires, think this is the last :(
