Developed with consideration for the specific conditions of so-called "European" winters, it is characterized by improved traction on wet and snowy surfaces, driving comfort, reduced rolling resistance, and high mileage.
Optimized tread profile
The tread pattern is optimized in a special way. Under the load of the vehicle's weight, the contact patch increases, taking on a rectangular shape. This improves traction on dry surfaces and their stability during maneuvering. The reduction in pressure on the road surface and its simultaneous alignment across the entire contact patch significantly reduces the level of abrasive impact on the tread, increasing the tire's mileage.
V-shaped and "intersecting" grooves
The tread pattern is filled with grooves. Some drainage elements are arranged in a V-shape, directed against the direction of motion. In combination with the increased width and curved shape, this allows for very high-intensity cleaning of snow and ice debris. In turn, the narrower straight grooves intersecting them further enhance traction on snowy and wet surfaces.
Special rubber compound
The tire's tread is made from a rubber compound with specially selected characteristics. The use of a large amount of silica has improved the compound's elasticity at low temperatures. In turn, the use of orange peel oil and special polymers provides high strength of the rubber compound to tearing and stretching, ensuring its resistance to abrasive wear, punctures, and cuts. As a result, the tire combines grip on cold winter surfaces with a long service life.
