The summer tyre Windforce Advanfors UHP II is designed for passenger vehicles, including powerful sedans and electric cars. The model belongs to the HP/UHP performance segment and combines an asymmetric tread pattern with advanced longitudinal grooves. Its design focuses primarily on steering precision on dry roads, water evacuation, and acoustic comfort during everyday driving.
Asymmetric tread pattern
The inner and outer sections of the tread differ in the arrangement of sipes and the shape of tread blocks. This allows effective water evacuation while maintaining large rubber areas that bear loads during maneuvering. Wide shoulder zones support the contact patch in corners, while longitudinal ribs form a stable central part of the tread. This configuration helps the vehicle respond predictably to changes in direction.
Stability when driving straight
Continuous ribs and reinforced shoulder zones limit excessive movement of tread elements. The tread better maintains its shape under longitudinal and lateral forces, contributing to directional stability and precise transmission of steering inputs. An additional benefit of this design is more even load distribution, which helps reduce uneven tread wear.
Advanced water evacuation system
Four wide circumferential grooves draw water away from the contact patch, while transverse sipes enhance the drainage system. The main channel walls feature a special relief pattern designed according to the principle of a golf ball's surface. The manufacturer associates this solution with improved water evacuation and reduced tyre noise. The combined action of longitudinal channels and lateral sipes helps maintain tyre tread contact with wet asphalt.
Reduced rolling noise
Tread elements vary in length and are arranged with a variable pitch. As a result, impacts of individual tread sections against the road surface do not occur at a constant frequency. This tread design reduces tonal drone and contributes to acoustic comfort. This is particularly beneficial on long asphalt routes, where rolling noise becomes a noticeable part of the overall sound environment.
