The winter studded tire WestLake SW606 stands out from its numerous predecessors and competitors with a "non-Chinese" design, which is not surprising. After all, its development was handled by foreign specialists who gave this model a very "Scandinavian" design. It is thanks to this that the tire demonstrates excellent traction properties on snow, and in the case of installing studs - also on ice.
V-shaped tread design
One of the characteristic features that relates this tire to its analogs from Scandinavian manufacturers is the tread pattern. It is made in the popular V-shaped design, which is due to a number of advantages inherent only to it. First of all, this is good directional stability and excellent performance when accelerating and braking.
Continuous longitudinal rib in the center
The central part of the tread is distinguished by a small area, a significant part of which is occupied by a wide longitudinal rib of a continuous design. This element, having high resistance to deformative changes, provides the tire with stability at high speeds, as well as quickness and accuracy in reactions to steering wheel turns.
Good traction on rolled snow and ice
As mentioned earlier, this tire is not equipped with studs in its basic version. Nevertheless, its tread provides places for their installation. They are arranged in such a way that when moving, the studs form at least 10 "anti-skid chains", which significantly improves the traction properties on rolled snow and ice.
Key features of WestLake SW606
- highly efficient V-shaped tread pattern for winter roads;
- rigid central rib improves stability and handling;
- wide shoulder areas with an open design improve stability during maneuvering, shorten braking distance.
