The WestLake SC301 summer light truck tire, thanks to its sufficiently wide and well-thought-out size range, is perfectly suited for operation on almost any modern light truck or minivan. However, a much more important feature is the unusual durability of this model, which provides it with high reliability throughout its entire service life.
Excellent durability
Considering the specific operating conditions, Chinese specialists, when developing this model, paid special attention to issues of durability. One of the solutions to this problem was a two-layer breaker, thanks to which the WestLake SC301 tire became much better at withstanding heavy loads. In addition to the increased carrying capacity, this made it possible to significantly improve the distribution of external weight on the contact patch, which made the tread much better resistant to uneven wear.
Directly under the breaker layer is the cord, the construction of which has also been significantly strengthened, for which a steel cord with an increased diameter was used.
Excellent traction and grip properties
For this tire, Chinese specialists preferred to use a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern with a reduced number of individual elements. Due to this, it was possible to significantly increase their size, providing the tire with not only increased carrying capacity but also a larger contact patch, which had a beneficial effect on road grip.
In addition, it is impossible not to note the block structure of the tread pattern, which contains four very wide longitudinal ribs. Such a design allows the tire to demonstrate excellent directional stability. At the same time, each of the blocks has a complex configuration, due to which they form an infinite number of multidirectional edges. Thanks to this design feature, excellent traction and grip properties are achieved, especially on slippery roads.
