Description Vredestein Sportrac 2
The all-season passenger tire Vredestein Sportrac 2 from the well-known and respected Dutch manufacturer is a successful attempt to create an excellent road tire. This model, released in several dozen popular sizes with mounting sizes from 15 to 17 inches, is perfect for most modern passenger cars of the small and medium classes. The high technical characteristics of this tire are indicated by the assigned speed indices H, V, and W.
The tread of this tire is equipped with a directional symmetric pattern, distinguished by an original V-shaped design. A distinctive feature of the tread design is the presence of only three main elements - two shoulder zones and one longitudinal rib, located in the central part of the tread. At the same time, all tread elements are distinguished by very large sizes.
The longitudinal rib located in the central part of the Vredestein Sportrac 2 tire tread represents a series of separate blocks of an original configuration. These blocks, spaced a short distance from each other, have a complex polygonal shape, reminiscent of the letter "V". Thanks to the rigid design of the central part of the tread blocks, it was possible to ensure high efficiency of acceleration and braking, as well as excellent course stability.
The shoulder zones of the tread are characterized by high strength. This technical solution, combined with the reinforced design of the tire sidewalls, created using the Handling Tuned Sidewall technology, made it possible to give the handling sports characteristics, especially when cornering. This technology effectively prevents tire deformation, which, in addition to improving the handling characteristics, minimized the risk of uneven tread wear.
Main features of the Vredestein Sportrac 2 tire
- A unique V-shaped design of the symmetric directional tread pattern provides excellent traction in various conditions;
- The reinforced design of the shoulder zones of the tread and sidewalls has almost completely eliminated tire deformation, giving the handling sports characteristics;
- Excellent resistance to aquaplaning is provided by two very wide longitudinal drainage grooves and a multitude of transverse channels;
- The original block structure of the central part of the tread, thanks to which it was possible to achieve excellent course stability and high efficiency of acceleration and braking.
