The Venom Power Covert Grip ASP tire is positioned as an all-season model for full-size pickups and SUVs. It represents a universal solution, effective for use on both asphalt roads and unstable sandy soils. In any conditions, it demonstrates reliability of coupling properties and comfort in handling, along with strength and reliability.
The tread pattern is made according to a directional scheme with large V-shaped blocks and deep longitudinal grooves, ensuring effective water drainage and its mixture with soil particles. Such geometry increases traction on loose surfaces and reduces the risk of aquaplaning. The massive off-road tires on the edges of the tread improve traction on sand and gravel, and the optimized shape of the shoulder blocks promotes stability during turns and lateral overloads. At the same time, the thought-out arrangement of elements reduces the noise level, making the tire comfortable on the highway as well.
The tire's design features a robust carcass with a two-layer polyester cord and a reinforced steel breaker, which provides stiffness and resistance to deformations. The sidewalls have an increased thickness and reinforcing inserts that protect against punctures and cuts when contacting sharp stones or curbs. Particular attention is paid to the compound, which has a high silica content and the addition of functional polymers that preserve elasticity at low temperatures and resistance to wear at high loads.
The tire also uses Adaptive Surface Pattern technology, an optimized tread profile that provides adaptive pressure distribution across the contact patch, resulting in uniform wear and stable traction on various types of surfaces.

Advantages: Five stars for now, in advance. I will try them out in the spring. They seem to be made very well. The bead is barely noticeable. The sidewall is very sturdy. This tire is definitely not about fuel economy, but about durability. The tread looks like the Continental ExtremContact dws 06. The tread depth is 7.0-7.6 mm, depending on the measurement location. It's unlikely that these tires will be very quiet. All labels are designed for the US market. Made in Vietnam. For those who understand: Treadwear - 520, Traction - AA, Temperature - A.

Well, what can I say? I bought it on a marketplace in size 225/50 17 for 3800 per tire. Visually, everything is great, I thought I'd put it on and change it in the spring, but I couldn't wait. So, at the time of the review, the mileage is around 500-600 km. The sidewall is moderately hard, it's raining now and the grip is excellent, there's no aquaplaning, I'm not sure about noise yet, but I wouldn't say it's louder compared to my old tires, it's still running in. The tread pattern is also great, people at the tire shop thought I brought them a racing tire. So, I think it's possible to drive on it even in the first frosts. It balanced perfectly, I saw a maximum of 30 grams. Made in Vietnam, 22nd week of 2025. I found photos of "Made in Germany" on American forums, but clearly, those won't make it to Russia. In the end, for this price, the tire is just great! Now I'll just have to observe the wear, but also reading English-language forums, there are very few complaints about this tire.
