The Uniroyal Rain Expert 3 SUV summer tire features more than two dozen sizes of the same model, allowing it to be installed on crossovers and SUVs. Accordingly, it is designed for operation exclusively on paved roads, where it demonstrates its strongest sides. These include, first and foremost, excellent performance on wet surfaces, which is a "trademark" feature of the two previous models of this tire, which it significantly surpasses in this operational property.

SST Technology

This model owes its high performance on wet surfaces to a great extent to SST technology. The abbreviation used in the name quite accurately describes its essence. It consists of the capital letters of the English phrase Shark Skin Technology. The hydrodynamic effect of shark skin has been reproduced on the bottom of the longitudinal drainage grooves. This made it possible to eliminate turbulence in water flows, which in turn led to an increase in the tread's resistance to aquaplaning. In this regard, it is impossible not to mention the design of the drainage grooves themselves. The zigzag profile of their side walls is very similar to shark fins.

Increased stability in turns

Like its two predecessors, the tread of this tire is made in an asymmetrical design. Its current version is characterized by even more hypertrophied sizes of the outer shoulder area with numerous wide blocks. Such a design gives the tire excellent stability even at significant lateral accelerations, allowing it to take turns at very high speeds. In addition, the massive sizes and transverse arrangement of blocks in both shoulder zones provide the tire with excellent traction during longitudinal accelerations, improving its performance during acceleration and braking.

Excellent comfort

Despite its aggressive external appearance, this model is characterized by a fairly good level of comfort. This applies equally to the softness of the ride and the level of noise. This was achieved thanks to a whole complex of technical solutions. First of all, this is the arrangement and reduced number of gripping edges, which made it possible to minimize the level of noise generated by them. In addition, the developers used a two-layer tread, the upper layer of which is made of an elastic rubber mixture. It allows to dampen a significant part of the impact of small irregularities. At the same time, the lower rigid layer made it possible to preserve excellent handling.
