The tire's tread is made from a compound whose physico-chemical properties have been selected with regard to the operating conditions in the climatic conditions of Northern European countries and Russia. The rubber mixture has a high silica content. This component gives the tread elasticity at negative temperatures, ensuring reliable grip on any winter surface.
Increased Density of Lamella Notching
One of the characteristic features of the tread design is a very dense notching of lamellas. These elements are located a few millimeters apart, resulting in the contact patch having a huge number of gripping edges. Their effectiveness is significantly improved due to the multi-directional arrangement of the lamellas. They improve resistance to skidding, especially on icy surfaces. This property can be significantly enhanced by installing studs, for which over a hundred special places are provided on the tread. The area around them has special chamfers for crushing ice crust into smaller fragments. This noticeably improves the effectiveness of the studs.

The tread pattern features a V-shaped arrangement of elements. This solution provides the contact patch with very extended gripping edges, starting from the central part and ending in the shoulder areas. At the same time, the significant width of the drainage grooves ensures high efficiency of this solution on snowy surfaces, especially during longitudinal accelerations.
