Toyo Snowprox S954 – a friction winter tire designed for modern mid-range and luxury passenger vehicles. It is characterized by confident braking and excellent traction on wet, snowy, and icy road surfaces. The tread pattern has been optimized, resulting in exceptional technical and operational characteristics. The material composition has also been updated to ensure maximum safety and excellent handling in typical Central European winter weather.
The tread design is asymmetrical, which means the tire has a high level of grip on dry and wet roads, as well as on icy and snowy roads. The tire does not have anti-skid studs, but it features three-dimensional lamellas that effectively replace studding. As a result, the tire's traction characteristics on winter roads are impeccable.
Four wide and deep longitudinal channels, as well as numerous diagonally arranged grooves, provide instant removal of moisture, snowmush, and liquid mud from the contact patch area, making the tire resistant to aquaplaning and slaloming. One of the longitudinal channels has a wavy shape, which has improved the tire's lateral traction characteristics. The shoulder areas feature powerful rigid blocks that ensure good vehicle maneuverability, safe cornering, and lane changing.
It is also worth noting that the rubber compound contains silica, which further improves traction with the road surface and reduces the braking distance.
