Tigar Ultra High Performance
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Tigar Ultra High Performance
The Tigar Ultra High Performance summer tire is designed for the most powerful versions of passenger cars of various classes by Michelin specialists. Its design uses technologies and materials created by the French tire giant, which provided high technical characteristics.
Asymmetric tread design
The tire is equipped with a tread having an asymmetric arrangement of elements, forming several functional areas. The shoulder blocks on the outside provide stability in turns. Two solid longitudinal ribs located next to it give stable behavior during high-speed straight-line driving. The shoulder blocks on the inside provide traction and adhesion properties in the longitudinal direction, i.e., during acceleration and braking.
Increased contact patch size
Another distinctive feature of the tire is the increased contact patch size, provided by a specially selected tread profile configuration. It not only expands the contact surface but also gives it a practically rectangular shape. As a result, not only the grip but also its stability under the influence of lateral acceleration forces has improved.
Effective drainage system
Even at high speeds, the tire demonstrates a low tendency to aquaplaning, ensured by the presence of four very wide longitudinal drainage grooves in the central part. Their performance is further enhanced by the high capacity of transverse channels that drain water beyond the tread.
Key features of the Tigar Ultra High Performance tire
- An asymmetric tread with multiple functional areas improves traction under various driving modes;
- A wide and rectangular contact patch improves handling and resistance to lateral skidding;
- Low risk of aquaplaning at any speed.

These tires were installed after the Michelin Primacy HP factory tires that I ran for 3.5 seasons. Despite being half the price, they have done a great job, with noise levels no higher than the previous ones, good handling in the turn, and excellent aquaplaning resistance (I had to drive for about 2 hours in the pouring rain on the Minsk highway), and they handle well at 120 km/h. I have been running them in urban mode in neutral and

I was pleased with the tires, no obvious downsides. Personal impressions: they hold the road well in terms of tread pattern. A bit noisier above 70 km/h, but the car has a decent noise level and it's not a major issue for me. There were no emergency braking, in the urban mode and up to 140 km/h there are no complaints. Tire behavior is absolutely predictable. Previously, Continental 4 Seasons were installed, the price difference with Tiger is 2

Based on a friend's recommendation, I decided to buy tires. Initially, I was a bit deterred by the price. I thought that for that kind of money, it would be impossible to get a good set of tires, but during operation, I was pleasantly surprised. The tires hold the car confidently on both dry and wet roads, and produce very little noise. After 30,000 km of wear, it wore off by about 50%, in my opinion, that's pretty normal.
