Description Taitong HS101
The Taitong HS101 truck tire was specially designed for use on the steering axles of trucks used in interregional transportation. Its design is ideally adapted for long-distance and high-speed travel. In these challenging conditions, this model demonstrates excellent traction in any weather conditions, excellent fuel efficiency, and high reliability throughout a very long service life.
5-rib design of the tread pattern
The specific operating conditions led the Chinese tire makers to choose a symmetrical, non-directional tread pattern with five longitudinal ribs. Each of them is distinguished by massive dimensions, which on the one hand provided the tire with excellent traction, and on the other - excellent directional stability when moving at any speed.
Low rolling resistance
In addition to the massive dimensions, all the tread ribs of the Taitong HS101 are distinguished by a very rigid design. This is due to the almost complete absence of any breaks throughout their length, which has led to an increase in resistance to dynamic deformation. Thanks to these design features, the tire has a very low rolling resistance, which, combined with the low cost, further reduces operating costs.
Short braking distance
The small number of individual tread elements did not prevent the developers from giving the tire excellent braking efficiency. This was achieved through numerous straight lamellas that were placed on the surface of the three longitudinal ribs in the central part of the tread. When in contact with the road surface, they, unfolding, form a large number of edges by which the tire hooks onto even the smallest irregularities, significantly reducing the braking distance.
Main features of the Taitong HS101 tire
- the tire is designed for the steering axles of trucks;
- high load-carrying capacity, excellent resistance to impact loads and uneven wear due to the reinforced design of the shoulder areas of the tread;
- excellent braking efficiency thanks to the multitude of straight lamellas located in the central part of the tread pattern;
- excellent handling is provided by the rigid design of the five longitudinal ribs.
