The Sunny SN293 winter non-studded passenger tire, designed for small-tonnage trucks and minivans, can be boldly considered a virtually ideal tool for commercial vehicle operation. This tire stands out for its virtually ideal combination of price and quality.
The design of the directional symmetric tread pattern incorporates solutions that are more typical of high-quality passenger car tires. In particular, the tread pattern features a double central rib, which is more commonly found on premium-class tires. Thanks to this solution, Chinese tire engineers were able to provide excellent directional stability and quick response from the tire.
For more confident behavior on snow, the tread pattern features two rows of individual blocks located in the central part. The blocks have a quadrangular shape with rounded corners, and their surface is dotted with S-shaped lamellas, as are almost all elements of the tread. When moving, these lamellas form a multitude of additional engagement edges, providing the Sunny SN293 tire with excellent traction and coupling characteristics on snowy or icy surfaces.
Thanks to the carefully calculated distance between the blocks, it was possible to achieve the most optimal combination of coupling with low rolling resistance, which provided the tire with decent fuel economy indicators.
It is also worth noting the presence of three wide longitudinal grooves in the tread pattern, which are designed to provide the tire with rapid and effective cleaning of the tread from snow and dirt, thereby further improving its basic working characteristics.
