The Starmaxx Provan ST850 Plus summer commercial tire is designed for small-capacity trucks and buses. Even in the most challenging conditions, it reduces operating costs due to its high mileage and fuel efficiency, demonstrating high directional stability and braking intensity on wet surfaces.
The tread pattern is designed in a classic style for products of this class with a symmetrical and non-directional arrangement of elements, all of which are increased in size. The ribs in the central part have a solid structure, giving them high resistance to deformation. This improves directional stability, provides ease of handling, and reduces rolling resistance. The shoulder areas contain massive blocks that are connected by rigid bridges at the edges of the tread. They further increase the resistance of the elements to deformation, reducing wear intensity and improving the stability of traction properties when maneuvering. The transverse edges present here on a wet surface increase traction and braking intensity.
The tread contains Z-shaped lamellas. Their unusual shape gives the blocks additional mobility. It gives the tire's run a smoothness and reduces the level of abrasive impact, which increases the service life.
Key Features of Starmaxx Provan ST850 Plus
- The solid structure and massiveness of the central ribs reduce rolling resistance and wear, increase directional stability, and facilitate handling;
- Rigid-to-transverse deformation shoulder blocks increase traction when maneuvering, provide quickness and accuracy in handling, and shorten the braking distance on wet surfaces;
- The optimized tread profile expands the contact patch, giving it a rectangular shape that reduces wear.
