The Sonax SX608 summer passenger tire, manufactured by a renowned and respected Taiwanese manufacturer worldwide, is designed for the majority of modern passenger car models. The wide range of applications for this tire is evidenced by the presence of several dozen sizes in which it is produced, ranging from 155/70R12 to 215/55R17.
For a tire intended for the widest range of car owners, Taiwanese tire makers preferred to use an S-shaped design of a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, the main advantage of which is an ideal balance between handling and ride comfort. The tread of the Sonax SX608 tire was developed using computer modeling tools, which made it possible to select the shape of the tread elements that contribute to reducing the level of resonant noise and vibrations that occur during movement.
However, no less attention was paid to ensuring the reliable behavior of the tire, which is indicated by the presence in the center of a wide and solid rib, which has a rigid structure. This made it possible not only to achieve excellent directional stability when driving at high speeds but also led to a reduction in the tire's response time to steering wheel turns.
Another feature of the tread of this tire is the presence of four deep water drainage grooves. This solution made it possible to provide excellent resistance to aquaplaning for a tire in this price category.
