Sonar SX1 Evo 245/45 R17 95H

The Sonar SX1 Evo summer tire is, in essence, the result of a deep modernization of another UHP tire from this respected Taiwanese manufacturer, the SX1. However, unlike its predecessor, this tire is designed for a narrower range of modern passenger car models. This is evident from the tire sizes in which it exists – from 195/55R16 to 235/30ZR20.

As the entire tire production of this Taiwanese manufacturer is characterized by a balanced approach, the development of this tire applied solutions previously used in the SX1 tire. In particular, this concerns the rigid central rib, which has no breaks throughout the tread. This has made it possible to achieve high values of such an important parameter for powerful cars as directional stability.

Also, in the central part of the tread, there are two more longitudinal ribs, each of which is divided into separate blocks by drainage channels, resembling a triangle in shape. A distinctive feature of these drainage channels is their spiral shape, which helps to increase the speed of water circulation in the contact patch, increasing the resistance of the Sonar SX1 Evo tire to aquaplaning. However, the main role in the fight against aquaplaning is played by three longitudinal drainage grooves, which are characterized by great depth and width.
