The Sonar PF-2 tire is designed for use on compact and medium-sized passenger cars. It is distinguished by its reliable coupling properties on ice and rolled snow, comfort in handling at any speed, soft ride and acoustic comfort.
The tread pattern is dotted with narrow slits. The lamellas, forming hundreds of sharp edges, allow for effective implementation of traction and braking effort on rolled snow and icy surfaces. In such conditions, the wavy shape of the slit walls additionally increases the accuracy of control and stability of coupling. Another feature of the tread is the modular arrangement of the blocks. This solution creates elongated coupling edges of large area in the contact patch. They provide the tire with confident behavior on snow, giving it high passability in such conditions.
