The tread pattern is dotted with numerous lamellas. Closely spaced slits form hundreds of sharp edges that fully compensate for the lack of studs, providing reliable traction on wet and icy surfaces. Efficiency on snow is achieved by high and long edge of ribs and blocks, which are present in large quantities in the tread pattern. The increased width of the grooves allows maintaining stability in adverse weather conditions. A special rubber compound is used in the tire. The increased content of "silica" in its composition allows the tread to remain elastic at very low temperatures.
