Saffiro Maxtrac A/T

The all-season Saffiro Maxtrac A/T tire is designed for use on SUVs and pickups. It represents a classic example of models in the All Terrain category, being intended for operation in mixed conditions.

The tread pattern has a typical layout for tires in this category, with a large number of blocks and wide longitudinal grooves. This design provides confident traction on loose soil, gravel, and wet grass, preventing the tread from becoming clogged with soil particles. In turn, the composite longitudinal rib of blocks in the center of the pattern increases directional stability on paved roads, reducing wear and rolling resistance.

During the manufacture of the tread, a rubber compound with a high content of natural rubber and "silica" is used. These components give the tire elasticity during temperature changes, while also increasing resistance to abrasive wear. As a result, the stability of the traction properties is ensured, both in summer and in winter. A feature of the tire is the combination of a reinforced nylon cord and a two-layer steel breaker. This reduces the risk of puncturing the tread and cutting the sidewalls, increasing the mileage of the tire when operating on rocky surfaces. It is worth noting the use of the Multi-Angle Groove Geometry technology in the tire. Its essence lies in optimizing the design and location of the grooves to increase the efficiency of these elements when removing water and its mixture with soil particles and snow from the contact patch. This feature is further enhanced by the use of so-called Bite edges - zigzag edges of the blocks, which improve traction properties on slippery and unstable surfaces.
