Across the Atlantic Ocean, the manufacturer of the Roadstone N7000 passenger tire, the South Korean tire giant Nexen, positions it as an all-season model. However, in our climatic conditions, this tire is suitable exclusively for operation in the summer. Among other features of this model, it is worth noting the very high operational characteristics, thanks to which it can be fully attributed to the Ultra High Performance category.
Excellent grip on wet roads
Among the many characteristic differences of the V-shaped symmetrical directional tread pattern, it is worth noting the incredibly developed drainage system. Nevertheless, a large part of its high performance is provided by the four longitudinal grooves located in the central part of the tread. It is in them that the accumulation of excess moisture occurs, leaving the contact patch through the system of transverse grooves.
In addition, the excellent grip on wet roads is facilitated by the tread rubber compound of the Roadstone N7000. It is distinguished by an increased silica content. This silicon-containing component gives the tread additional elasticity, allowing it to more closely fit the irregularities on the surface of the road.
Rigid construction of the shoulder areas
In addition to the massive size, the shoulder areas are distinguished by increased resistance to deformation changes. This feature allows the tire to demonstrate excellent stability when cornering.
It is also impossible not to notice the small-radius profile of this part of the tread. With the help of this solution, the Korean tire manufacturers achieved a significant increase in the level of driving comfort. This model is distinguished by softness and low noise and vibration load when moving.
Main features of Roadstone N7000
- an aggressive V-shaped symmetrical directional tread pattern contains many gripping edges, thanks to which the tire provides reliable grip on slippery wet and snowy roads;
- a rubber compound with increased silica content gives the tread additional elasticity at low temperatures, thus improving grip on wet roads;
- excellent resistance to aquaplaning, provided by an unusually developed drainage system consisting of many longitudinal and transverse drainage grooves;
- low noise level due to the multi-step arrangement of tread elements and small-radius profile of the shoulder areas;
- the reinforced construction of the shoulder areas of the tread provides the tire with increased stability in corners.
