Rauffan Mega Trak A/T I — summer tyre of the All Terrain class for SUVs and pickups, designed for asphalt, gravel, and dirt roads. Five longitudinal rows form a developed working surface: the central zone creates multiple edges for grip, and large shoulder elements support the vehicle on solid surfaces. This tread pattern is convenient for mixed routes, where a regular road tyre may experience a lack of traction beyond asphalt.
The three inner rows consist of polygonal blocks, offset from each other. Their faces are oriented in different directions and consecutively come into contact with the road. This helps to transmit traction force on rolled dirt and gravel, as well as to more confidently hold the chosen trajectory on uneven surfaces.
Between the blocks, a branched network of wide communicating grooves passes. On a wet road, they provide water with paths for exit from the contact patch, helping to maintain grip during rain. On dirt, the free space between the blocks allows the tread to easily release dirt and small loose material, so that the working edges continue to grip the surface.
The shoulder blocks are divided by transverse cuts, open to the edges of the tread. Such a layout adds traction edges when moving on soft dirt and helps the wheel to more confidently exit a shallow rut. The large size of the shoulder elements simultaneously creates a stable support during turns and maneuvers on a solid road.
On the central and shoulder blocks, thin sipes are located. They increase the number of small working edges and help the tread to better hold on a wet surface during acceleration and braking. At the same time, the sufficiently dense arrangement of blocks preserves the necessary contact area with asphalt, making the tyre's behavior understandable in everyday trips.
Key features of Rauffan Mega Trak A/T I
- five longitudinal rows combine stable support on asphalt with developed traction on dirt;
- differently oriented faces of central blocks help to more confidently accelerate and hold the trajectory on gravel;
- wide communicating grooves divert water and provide an exit for dirt from the contact patch;
- open shoulder cuts improve traction on soft surfaces and help to exit a shallow rut;
- massive shoulder blocks support the vehicle's stability during turns and maneuvers;
- thin sipes create additional edges for more predictable grip on a wet road;
- the combination of a dense central zone and developed grooves is suitable for regular trips on mixed routes.
