Description Premiorri ViaMaggiore
The Premiorri ViaMaggiore non-studded winter tire is one of the novelties of the famous British manufacturer. This model is produced in seven most popular sizes, ranging from 175/70R13 to 205/60R16, which allows this tire to be used on most small and medium-sized passenger cars.
This tire has a tread with a V-shaped pattern, in which a number of interesting technical solutions have been applied. The V-shaped design of the tread itself provides not only a large contact patch area but also its constancy in various driving conditions, which makes it possible to bring reliability and stability to the handling. In addition, the constant contact patch area helps to reduce uneven wear, which, in turn, has led to an increase in the life of the tire.
Excellent traction on snow and ice is provided by special Z-shaped lamellas that literally cover the entire tread. During movement, these lamellas form a multitude of additional edges that, piercing the water film, provide more reliable traction with slippery surfaces.
In wet weather, the Premiorri ViaMaggiore tire is distinguished by high resistance to aquaplaning, which was achieved due to the effective operation of the drainage system. The large width and optimal angle of the diagonal grooves, as well as the multitude of transverse channels, allow for quick and efficient removal of water and slush from the contact patch. At the same time, the numerous edges formed by the transverse channels perfectly pierce the water film, providing more reliable traction with a wet surface.
It is also impossible not to note the original design of the shoulder areas, which provide excellent traction when cornering. In particular, the blocks of the shoulder areas have serrated edges, which made it possible to achieve excellent traction when driving on ice and snow.
Main features of the British Premiorri ViaMaggiore
- A large number of rubber Z-studs form numerous edges that effectively grip snow and ice;
- Excellent resistance to aquaplaning due to the optimal design of the drainage system;
- Excellent traction when cornering, thanks to the original design of the shoulder block;
- Low noise level is ensured by the uneven pitch of the tread blocks and their beveled angles.
