Having taken on the challenge, Pirelli has achieved excellent results, successfully developing a new winter tire, the Pirelli Winter 210 Sotozerro. Thus, the company has achieved victory through the application of the latest technologies, as well as the experience gained from participating in automotive competitions. The asymmetric tread pattern, rubber compound, and structure of the internal layers - all this provides unique properties that allow the tire to be used at low temperatures.
The design of the SOTTOZERO winter tires sets new standards for the technical characteristics of winter tires, providing a higher level of safety and driving pleasure. Deep diagonal grooves are a distinctive feature of the Sottozero tread pattern. In combination with special-shaped tread blocks, they reduce noise and contribute to improved acoustic comfort and reduced rolling resistance.
Deep and wide longitudinal grooves with a differentiated profile provide water removal even when driving at high speeds, thereby increasing the threshold of resistance to aquaplaning.
Massive shoulder area blocks provide transverse stiffness of the tread for loads acting on the tire during cornering, thereby increasing the tire's grip on the road and ensuring excellent maneuverability when suddenly changing direction.
