All-Season Passenger Tire Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season is designed for a very wide range of modern all-wheel drive passenger cars, from crossovers to pickups. A distinctive feature of this model, presented several years ago, is excellent road handling, in particular, braking efficiency and handling on wet roads, as well as traction properties on snowy surfaces. In addition, it is impossible not to note the excellent fuel efficiency and reduced weight compared to the previous model.

Asymmetric Tread Pattern

Since this model was initially developed with the need to provide maximum traction properties on various types of surfaces, Italian tire manufacturers preferred to equip it with an asymmetric tread pattern. It contains five longitudinal ribs, separated from each other by very wide and deep drainage grooves. This unoriginal solution was enough to provide the tire with excellent directional stability when moving at very high speeds.

However, the five longitudinal ribs give the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season tire not only these qualities. The outer side of the tread is designed to provide maximum handling and stability in turns. In turn, the inner part of the tread pattern, containing a large number of blocks and lamellas, improves traction properties in the longitudinal direction.

Among other distinctive features of this tire, it is worth noting the design of the drainage system, which is exceptionally high-performance, both on wet and snowy roads. The large size of the longitudinal drainage grooves allows them to easily get rid of not only water but also more heavy snow masses. At the same time, numerous cross-shaped lamellas, when driving on wet roads, direct excess moisture into longitudinal grooves, and on snowy roads, create additional traction edges. Due to this, this model easily does without studs.
