Pirelli PZero Winter

The Pirelli PZero Winter tire is designed for use on passenger cars during the winter season. Its main segment is high and medium class vehicles. The model, presented in 2019, combines the characteristics of winter and summer tires, as reflected in its marking.

The tire is designed to demonstrate confident behavior on urban roads in conditions of slight temperature drop (late autumn - early spring). At the same time, it copes well with icy surfaces, maintaining confident handling, including at high speeds. That's why it's preferred by sports car owners.

Multilayered tread

The model uses the technology of creating a multilayered tread. The outer layer is dominated by silanes, which provide effective bonding of polymers and silica. This achieves improved tire stability on dry and wet road surfaces. As for the inner layer, it is dominated by aluminum silicates. This provides structural rigidity, improving the stability of the tire's behavior at various driving styles.

Specificity of the tread pattern

The asymmetric tread has inner and outer elements, which achieves a combination of confident behavior on both dry and icy roads. Traction properties are increased due to the large number of sharp edges. This also ensures confident passage of snowy sections, preventing wheel spin.
To increase the efficiency of driving on wet roads, the model features two central channels in combination with a rounded shape of one of the sidewalls. The latter allows you to maintain control even when performing complex maneuvers.

The wide ribs located in the center contribute to traction on snowy sections, maintaining contact with the road surface. They are complemented by 3D lamellae, which provide good traction on dry roads as well.
