Tires from the Pirelli P Zero family, which are already installed on all Porsche 911 models, have also been homologated for the first hybrid from the famous sports car line - the new 911 GTS, for which a special version of the P Zero R tires was developed, designed to "combine sportiness and practicality for everyday use". In addition, Pirelli has also created a special version of the winter model P Zero Winter 2, and both tires have the N marking on the sidewalls, indicating that they were developed for Porsche.

Pirelli P Zero R were not previously included in the 911 GTS package, and Pirelli notes that thanks to the new rubber compound, grip has been increased in a wide range of road and weather conditions, with particular attention paid to wet pavement performance. Additionally, the tread pattern is optimized to reduce noise and improve comfort, and the low rolling resistance increases energy efficiency.

In turn, the P Zero Winter 2 represents the latest generation of Pirelli winter tires for high-performance vehicles and features a directional tread pattern that, according to the manufacturer, has increased traction on wet and snowy roads compared to the P Zero Winter, while also improving braking and handling on dry asphalt thanks to the evenly distributed stiffness of the tread.

The tires for the 911 GTS were developed by Pirelli specialists at the Virtual Development Center (VDC) in Broenberg, Germany, where a driving simulator is installed. Thanks to the VDC's virtual design and testing capabilities, the development time and number of physical prototypes required are reduced by 30%, and Pirelli says that the new technologies have allowed "optimizing every aspect of the new tires and ensuring that they perfectly match the characteristics of the Porsche 911 and fully meet the requirements of drivers".

Pirelli and Porsche have been collaborating for many years, and the Italian brand's tires have been homologated 338 times for various vehicles from the German concern, including crossovers, sedans, and sports cars, both traditional and hybrid and electric. Thus, the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires were approved for the 911 GT3 RS, and the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus are installed on the 911 Dakar, the off-road version of the sports car.
