The Pirelli PZero GEN-2 Seal-Inside summer tire is designed for the most dynamic versions of passenger cars. The flagship model of the Italian brand is an "icon" of Ultra High Performance tires, offering exceptional performance at any speed.
The tire features the Seal Inside puncture elimination technology. The solution is implemented in the form of a sealed cavity filled with a special viscous material based on natural rubber. In the event of a through hole, it is pulled into the hole by the flow of escaping air and instantly vulcanized. This technology allows for the elimination of punctures up to 6 mm in diameter. After that, the tire can be used without any restrictions.
Some technical solutions were "borrowed" from sports tires for road-racing. First of all, this is the design of the breaker with longitudinal arrangement of synthetic cord fibers. This increases the stability of traction and the accuracy of control at high speeds. A similar effect is provided by the practically flat profile of the tread part of the tread, increasing the contact patch and giving it a practically rectangular shape.
