Description Pirelli PZero Corsa Asimmetrico 2
The Pirelli PZero Corsa Asimmetrico 2 summer tire is designed for use on sports versions of passenger cars. It is recommended to be used in combination with the Direzionale model, which is installed on the front axle. But even with Asimmetrico on all wheels, it provides high directional stability at any speed, stability of grip in turns, both on dry and wet surfaces, along with a low tendency to aquaplaning.
The tread pattern is executed in an asymmetric design, representing a combination of four wide longitudinal ribs. This arrangement of elements provides an even distribution of stiffness, along with an increased contact patch area. In combination with the tread profile from racing tires, this provides excellent grip, both when driving straight and when cornering, as well as a reduced risk of uneven wear. To a large extent, the tire's performance is ensured by the characteristics of the rubber compound used in its manufacture. In addition to a large amount of "silica", the compound contains special polymers that, at the molecular level, provide an even stiffness of the tread, along with elasticity that is optimal over a very wide temperature range. This provides the tire with excellent grip even on wet surfaces, as well as its resistance to abrasive wear, exposure to extremely high mechanical loads and heating. Another feature of the pattern is the presence of a large number of transverse grooves. The drainage elements are arranged at an aggressive angle and have a curved shape, which further increases the intensity of excess moisture removal from the contact patch, preventing the formation of a continuous water film between the tire and the road surface.
Key features of the Pirelli PZero Corsa Asimmetrico 2:
- an increased shoulder area on the outside increases the stability of grip and steering precision when cornering;
- a tread profile from sports tires for road racing improves handling, prevents rapid tire wear;
- a special wear-resistant rubber compound, resistant to high mechanical loads and heat;
- a large number of transverse drainage grooves increases the intensity of acceleration and braking on wet surfaces.
