The Ovation Ecovision WV-186 winter tire is a commercial model designed for minibuses, light trucks, and vans. On snowy and icy roads, it demonstrates stability in handling, effective braking, high traction, as well as durability and resistance to damage.
The directional tread pattern features a so-called "Scandinavian" design with a characteristic arrow-shaped rib in the center and "branches" in the form of composite blocks in the shoulder zones. The key difference from other variations is the size of the elements. They are made massive, which increases the contact patch, improving grip on roads cleared of snow and ice, providing higher resistance to wear, partly offsetting the impact of significant weight loads on the tire. This same feature has led to the presence of wide grooves between them, which allows the tire to demonstrate excellent performance on wet and snowy surfaces. Efficiency on ice is achieved by the presence of a large number of lamellas, the sharpened edges of which penetrate the water film that forms when the tire rolls. The functionality of these elements is complemented by their wavy shape, which limits the mobility of the blocks, providing stability in handling in such conditions.
