Onyx NY-901

The Onyx NY-901 summer tire is designed for dynamic versions of compact and mid-size passenger cars. It is characterized by sporty handling, reliable traction properties on dry and wet surfaces, resistance to aquaplaning, and fuel efficiency.

The tread pattern features an asymmetric arrangement of elements, their distribution across functional zones. This gives the driving qualities balance without deteriorating any of them. All ribs and blocks, having large sizes, possess high resistance to deformation. This has a positive effect on directional stability and precision handling, especially during dynamic maneuvering. Traction properties on wet surfaces are preserved almost in full thanks to the increased volume of drainage grooves and the presence of numerous lamellas that prevent the formation of a continuous water film in the contact patch.
