Two types of studs

The tire's tread features two types of studs, distributed across functional areas. The shoulder areas have longitudinally oriented elements with a star-shaped steel core. This solution is designed to improve stability on ice during maneuvering. The longest stud edges in the central part are oriented transversely, which ensures maximum acceleration and deceleration on icy surfaces. The steel elements are arranged at a specific pitch, which minimizes the noise and vibrations they generate.

Gentle contact with the road surface

The tread has a dual-layer structure. The thickness of the lower base layer has been increased, which allows for empty space under the stud flanges. The sealed cavities act as an air cushion, which dampens the impact of the stud on the road surface. On the one hand, this reduces the risk of stud loss, and on the other hand, it slows down the wear of the road surface.

Low noise level

Unlike similar tires from other brands, the Finnish manufacturer has chosen to use a noise-absorbing layer on the inner side of the tread in all tires, regardless of size. The special porous material with numerous cavities effectively prevents the transmission of vibrations that occur during tire rolling to the suspension elements and further into the vehicle cabin. This allows for a significant improvement in acoustic comfort.

Effective winter compound

The tire's tread is made from a compound with specially selected properties. The inclusion of special polymers in the composition has increased the tensile strength and tear resistance at negative temperatures, giving the rubber mixture increased thermal conductivity. As a result, the tire boasts improved traction on slippery icy surfaces and the ability to save fuel during prolonged high-speed driving.
