Nokian ELine 2

The Nokian ELine 2 summer tire is installed on compact and medium-sized passenger cars. It is characterized by high efficiency on wet surfaces, precision handling, quietness and smooth ride.

The tread pattern largely determines the excellent fuel efficiency of this tire. It features three solid ribs in the center, which significantly reduce rolling resistance. It's worth noting the optimized tread profile, which distributes the contact patch pressure evenly. This also has a positive effect on fuel efficiency. Another feature of the pattern is the efficiency of the drainage system. The longitudinal grooves have a polished surface, which reduces the risk of aquaplaning. Additionally, Trumpet Grooves and the Coanda effect are used here, which allowed to significantly increase the speed of water removal from under the contact patch. In turn, the Silent Groove technology in the form of a special profile of the longitudinal grooves' side walls reduces the noise level.
