Nitto SN3 Winter 245/40 R18 97V XL

The Nitto SN3 Winter tire, thanks to its extensive size range, is suitable for both passenger cars and SUVs/crossovers. It represents a so-called "friction" tire with improved traction properties on any slippery road surface.

The tread pattern is made in the "classic" V-shaped design for winter tires with a directional arrangement of transverse grooves converging in the center. Here is a wide double longitudinal rib with serrated edges, which further enhance traction. The transverse grooves departing from it to the edges of the tread effectively remove water and its mixture with thawed snow and road slush from under the contact patch. Large blocks contain bidirectional lamellae. Together with the serrated edges of the elements, this noticeably increases traction on rolled snow and ice.

At the base of the blocks, there are special triangular protrusions. They limit the mobility of the elements when moving. This increases the accuracy of steering and reduces the braking distance.

Among other features of this tire, it is worth noting the rubber compound made using Microbit technology. The compound contains small particles of walnut, the sharp edges of which give the tread additional "grip" on slippery surfaces. In addition, the rubber compound contains fine-dispersed bamboo charcoal, which gives the tread the ability to absorb moisture from the road surface, thereby drying the contact patch.
